Meet Tyler and Josh, two best friends who happen to have a little band called Twenty One Pilots. About two weeks ago, these two buds had the chance to perform one of their songs called “Car Radio” at the MTV movie awards. Things have been looking up for them ever since. They finally made it!

Some pictures that I took from the concert at The Riv.

Twenty One Pilots is a two-man-band from Columbus, Ohio. They have an incredibly addictive sound accompanied with deep, provocative lyrics. Their unique style of music is a blend between hip-hop, alternative rock, and slam poetry.

Fight it. Take the pain ignite it. Tie a noose around your mind, loose enough to breathe fine, and tie it, to a tree. Tell it “You belong to me. This ain’t a noose, this is a leash, and I have news for you, you must obey me.” -Twenty One Pilots

The band played a sold out show at Chicago’s House of Blues this past November and another sold out show at The Riviera this past Friday. They were incredible at both concerts, of course.

I was at the sold out show in Chicago four days ago (the concert photos above are my own). It was my second time seeing them perform live and they did not disappoint. Their concert at The Riv was everything that I imagined it to be and nothing short of extraordinary.

If you haven’t heard their songs yet, click on the videos below and check them out! If you like what you hear, definitely check out their full-length album “Vessel”. What do you think of their lyrics? Let me know in the comments below!
