Castle Chicago and Phil Rizzo’sΒ PRE Productions have banded together to bring out some of the very best fresh DJ and electronic artist talent in Chicago as part of their new Emerging Artists competition. Starting this Thursday, November 13th, the competition will feature special 4-hour event nights at Castle, showcasing 1-hour DJ sets from contestants, with each night featuring one of four specific electronic themes:

November 13th: Tech and Proper Progressive
November 20th: Trap and Electro
December 4th: House
December 11th: Club Sounds

Judges will score the DJs each night based on music selection, technical ability, and promotion. The contest culminates on the December 18th with the four finalists competing for an opening spot on December 27nd, along with other prizes.

Admission is free and there will undoubtedly be some amazing music and drink specials on each of these nights. Because it’s a proper nightclub, remember that you have to be 21-or-over to check it out. If electronic is your groove, you owe it to yourself to get out to Castle and check out some of this great new talent, including some of your favorite UIC Radio electronic DJs:

I’ll get a shot on the decks tomorrow, November 13th, at 10 PM for some proper tech and progressive house and 13lacula will take the decks on Novemeber 20th. Be sure to make it out, and use “TheMig” and “13lacua” at the door to show your support!
