The next Dr.Paula Show will feature Dr. Marc Atkins. The show will air on June 28th at 11:00am. He will be sharing his thoughts on reforming policies and processes surrounding the delivery of mental health services to children, his Links to Learning program, and more.
Marc Atkins is professor of psychiatry and psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he is director of UIC’s Institute for Juvenile Research. He has a long-standing interest in the development of effective mental health services for children and families living in high-poverty urban communities. He is an active researcher in childhood ADHD and aggression and community mental health services for children and families.
Atkins is a frequent consultant to city and state government and national organizations and has served on two national boards. He is past secretary of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science and a past-president of the Society for Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology of the American Psychological Association.
